Fees and FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a referral to see a psychologist?
You do not need a referral to book an appointment. However, to access Medicare rebates a referral and MHCP from your GP is required.
How long are sessions?
Standard sessions are 50 minutes. EMDR sessions are 60-90 minutes.
Is couples counselling covered under Medicare?
Unfortunately, sessions for couples are not covered by Medicare. If you have private health insurance, please contact your provider to check whether they offer a rebate for couples therapy.
Please get in touch for an obligation-free conversation.
Fees
Standard 50-min appointment, in-person or telehealth, $215-240
EMDR 90-min session, in-person or telehealth, $330
Medicare Rebates
Prior to your first appointment with me, your GP will ordinarily be able to provide you with a Mental Health Treatment Plan.
A Mental Health Treatment Plan entitles you to a $149.05 rebate per session, for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. After 6 sessions, you are required to return to your GP for a check-in before we continue our sessions.
To process your rebate, I will require a referral letter and Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP (please send these to arranrosepsychology@gmail.com).
Private Health Insurance
Contact your private health insurance provider directly to discuss whether your policy includes psychological services extras cover. Private health rebates cannot be claimed alongside Medicare rebates.
WorkSafe and TAC
I work with NDIS, WorkSafe and TAC clients and do not charge out of pocket expenses for these sessions.
Payment Process
Payment is required at the conclusion of your appointment via secure debit card, credit card or contactless payment.
Cancellation Policy
To ensure appointments remain available for all clients, I request that you provide at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice may incur the full session fee.
